What was an important experience, opportunity, class from business school that made an impact on your career?

Putting on the inaugural SEMA Symposium and moderating a panel with ESPN executives including Rece Davis, the host of ESPN’s College Gameday. For the Sports, Entertainment, and Media Association (SEMA), Recently,  I was fortunate enough to attend the second one and see the continued growth and momentum that is building at McCombs. It made me recognize that throughout my career, where I’ve gotten the most fulfillment personally and professionally is when I’m able to not just leave something better than how I found it, but also when others who follow in my footsteps are in a better position to succeed as a result.

Now that you have graduated from business school, what’s something exciting about “life after business school?”

Seeing the normal world (not the MBA world with a new perspective. And getting to be the one who gets to talk about myself during informational interviews!

Who is someone you met in business school who has had an impact on your life or career?

Katherine Rowe has had a great impact on my career – through making introductions, being supportive, and showing by example the power of drive and passion. But most importantly, Katherine showed me how to block out all of the noise and distractions around you, to focus on what matters.

Will Chisholm is a friend who really impacted me in business school and beyond – from the first day I met him to today, he has always demonstrated a genuine desire to learn about others. Without realizing it, he’s taught me so much about growing and maintaining friendships in an authentic (vs superficial) way.
